Hari Proklamasi is an Indonesian celebration that remembers the proclamation of independence which brought an end to over 350 years of Dutch colonial rule.And every August 17, is identical with Paskibra.

Certainly, it’s sound familiar to anyone. Main Duties A Paskibra, namely raising the Sang Saka Merah Putih. Before the charge they were prepared in advance with the intention of instilling patriotism during this primary task. These forces are called forces 8 and forces 17, which was chosen from more than 600 participants.

For some people, we considered only the official flag raisers every 17 August. But in Paskibra, we are not only trained in how to raise the flag, but we were trained in marching, and the mental n physical exercise, besides that we also instilled a sense of togetherness, cohesiveness and a sense of love of nation and state.

Requirements for PASKIBRA are strict. Among other things, candidates should be skillful and intelligent. PASKIBRAKA members should also have a pleasant personality and be disciplined. They must be in good health and have the required height. And a very important requirement is that they can march very well.

I learned complete discipline in Paskibra and it was an unforgettable experience.
